The Grand Finale round of “College Ke Tashanbaaz” was organized by FM Radio at AERO Mall on 21st September 2024 where students of 10 colleges showed their talent, with great energy and enthusiasm. Ms. Khushi Labade, a student of Suryadatta Junior College, showing her swag through energetic dance moves, grabbed a prize of College Ke Tashanbaaz. She tried to spread a message for the society to empower women and respect their dreams!
The first selection round of RED FM per “College Ke TASHANBAAZ” was conducted on 9th of September at Suryadatta campus, where 45 students registered for the event and showcased their talent through their dance moves, singing , mimicry, speech delivery ( Oratory) , stunts on the mountain bicycle and many more. The chief guest Radio Jockey Ms. Jyoti with her crew members of FM Radio minutely observed the performances and declared the two winners in which Ms. Khushi won 2nd prize for both her beautiful dance sand singing as well. Rudra Kshirsagar, a mountain biker, won the 1st prize!
The Grand Finale show had been organized at AERO MALL, where students of more than 10 colleges participated. Ms. Khushi performed for 5 minutes and won the hearts of the guests and viewers who appreciated her performance, that had an effective message to empower girls to follow their dreams. RED FM team members with the coordination of RJ JYOTI, RJ YASH, RJ Anukriti and Mr. Sudarshan (Head of the team) organized the event. Ms. Gayatri, a social media Influencer, who has 1.5 million followers, was the chief guest who distributed the prizes. MIT Junior College & Bharti Vidyapeeth won 1st and 2nd prizes respectively.
Chairman of Suryadatta Group of Institutes Dr. Prof. Sanjay B Chordiya, congratulated the students for showcasing their talents outside the college. He believes in the holistic development of the students and such events serve the purposes of the same. Mrs. Snehal Navlakha, Associate Vice President of SGI, appreciated the students. She is the source of energy for the young students of our Junior colleges. Principals Mrs. Kiran Rao & Mrs. Vandana Pandey guide and motivate the students to channelize their energy for good causes and for better learning always.
Suryadatta Junior Colleges celebrated the World English Day on 6th May 2024 in Suryadatta Junior College premises. Students of Arts, Science and Commerce streams participated in the program. The program was graced by the Principals.
English Day is celebrated to commemorate the Birth and the Death anniversary of William Shakespeare, who is regarded as a great dramatist, actor & sonneteer in the world of Literature. The day was celebrated with great enthusiasm. Students recited English poems of renowned poets like John Keats, William Wordsworth, Robert Frost, Emily Dickenson, Rabindranath Tagore etc. A student of std- XII- science shared information about well known English writer Ruskin Bond. Mrs. Kiran Rao Principal of Suryadatta Public School emphasised on importance of English Language in Communication as India is ranked 2nd in the world ranking amongst English spoken people. Mrs. Vandana Pandey Principal of Suryadatta Junior College recited a few important lines of William Shaker pears’ Sonnet (Let me not to the marriage of impediments, Love is not love which alters when alteration finds or remover to remove.......) & of William Wordsworh: A Great Nature Poet’s poem – The Rainbow (My heart leaps up when I behold the Rainbow in the sky.....). The main attraction of the event was the quiz which was conducted by our English faculty, Mrs. Prachi Kelkar. All the students participated wholeheartedly in the quiz. The question “What is the difference between a letter & an alphabet”, was discussed on a serious note.
Students came dressed in decent Western attire and displayed their creativity in poster making, charts making, based on some topics of Grammar. Poems were nicely written on them as well. A student of Arts, Sharanya Chakraborty, anchored the whole program. Gati Bhargava, Bhoomi Trivedi, Ashwini Rathod, Tanishka Jadhav, Arya Lad & Arnav Kale, all recited poems. Sakshi Singh, Bharat, Asmi Manjrekar, Deepadevi Prajapati, Sharvari Damle & Abhishek Dandekar prepared the posters. The event was a grand success. Students and Staff members appreciated the event saying it was very informative and that such events are needed for the holistic development of the students, knowledge sharing and to create a good bonding amongst them!

“Time to say goodbye, but memories will last forever” - on this thought, the farewell for Std. XII 2023-24 batch was organized by the Staff of Junior College of the Suryadatta Group of Institues!
The programme started at 5pm and it was an evening of mixed emotions for all the 400 students present. The programme started with the National Anthem and was followed by a motivational speech by Principals, Mrs. Kiran Rao and Mrs. Vandana Pandey. There were some fun filled activities and games for students, wherein all the students participated wholeheartedly. There were some wonderful performances by the students which were rewarded with chocolates.
The main attraction for the evening was a Ramp walk which was organized for the students where they walked the stage with great confidence and zeal. The jury for the event our Principal Madams and all the four Heads of the Department of Science, Arts, Commerce & MCVC asked few questions to the students which they answered with full conviction. Winners of the ramp walk and all other games and activities were rewarded with gift vouchers. During the whole programme students continued to take selfies at the Selfie Booth especially created for them. The programme was concluded with a vote of thanks by our Principal Mrs. Kiran Rao and it was followed by refreshments.
All the students left with a bundle of memories, happy and smiling faces and with great enthusiasm in their hearts for a wonderful future waiting for them ahead!
Suryadatta Junior College and Suryadatta Public School had jointly organized a field trip for the students of Class 12th of all the streams, on 14th July 2023, Friday. The team of around 94 students and around four Faculty members visited the Chitale Bandhu factory at Ranje unit Mithaiwale. This aim of this field trip has been to give the students an insight into the set-up, working, production and distribution done by leading companies in Pune. Class 12th is a time when the students can spread their wings and prepare to soar as per their interests in different fields. This endeavour by the Junior College team is to provide them with information of different sectors, which will provide a better horizon to the students. A team of the Junior College, under the guidance of it’s Principals made various arrangements for the successful execution of the field trip, with complete support and encouragement from our Chairman Sir, Dr.(Prof) Sanjay B. Chordiya and the Management. This field trip was a big success in terms of student participation and staff backing. The students thoroughly enjoyed and came back well-informed, which was the primary aim. Such an interaction outside the classroom also breaks down walls and creates a bonding between the students and teachers, which helps the students communicate, learn and grow better. More such field trips are in the pipeline so that maximum students may benefit from them in the near future!
A befitting Induction program was organized for the new Class XI students starting from 3rd August 2023 to 5th August 2023, under the able guidance of our respected Founder President and Chairman Dr. Sanjay B Chordiya, our Vice-President and Secretary Mrs. Sushama Chordiya, Associate Vice-President Mrs. Snehal Navalakha and Director-Executive Development, Mr. Siddhant Chordiya. The new students were traditionally welcomed with tilak and sweets, by the faculty members of the Junior College. Registration of these students was also done after welcoming them. A series of interesting Guest lectures was arranged for them by eminent personalities, with topics ranging from importance of all-round development, soft-skill development, seeking happiness in little things, improving academic standards to excel in life onto importance of good habits for a healthy mind in a healthy body. Cultural programs were arranged by the Class XII students to welcome their juniors. Students were given information by the Principal regarding Staff members who will teach and guide them, discipline and code of conduct of the college, examinations, theory and practical classes, sports, the various activities they can participate in etc. The meritorious students of the new batch and their parents, based on their Class 10th Board results were felicitated on the occasion to encourage them and the others to scale new heights on this new journey of theirs.

Suryadatta Group of Institutes celebrated the International Yaga Day on 21st June 2023, in the College campus, with Staff members and students participating in large numbers, with josh and enthusiasm. This Yoga focussed on practice of Yoga postures, Pranayam and Hasyakalarogya, which was particularly enjoyed by one and all. A group of senior citizens who are members of a laughter club in Kothrud were invited and they leaded the entire group with Yoga exercises along with laughter for physical and mental fitness. An expert from Bangalore also guided the gathering about meditation and breathing exercises in Yoga. This session was followed and enjoyed by every participant. The Yoga Day was observed by performing Suryanamaskars by the participants. The event duration was three hours. The aim behind organising this event was to make our young students aware of the benefits of practicing Yoga on a daily basis for a healthy living. All Staff members and maximum students of our Junior College participated wholeheartedly in the International Yoga Day celebrations.

Each year on 12th July, World paper Bag Day is observed to spread awareness of the use of the environment-friendly alternative to harmful plastic bags.
In pursuance of the above a workshop was held for the current 12th students on 12th July, 2023 from 10am to 11am in classroom. The workshop was conducted by the teachers of Environment club namely, Mrs. Richa Varshneya, Mrs. Preeti Chandorkar and Mrs. Latika Kulkarni. The students participated enthusiastically and the workshop was attended by nearly 100 students. The motto of the whole workshop was “Each One, Make one”.
A demonstration on making paper bags was given by Mrs. Latika Kulkarni and all the students’ present prepared papers bags using old and scrap newspapers. All the faculty members of the junior college also participated and made papers bags along with the students. Principal of both SPS & SJC Mrs. Kiran Rao & Mrs. Vandana Pandey respectively too participated in the programme and encouraged the students in spreading the message of saving our environment and taking small steps towards the same.
The students were very happy and content as they took baby steps towards saving our environment. They also distributed the paper bags made by them in the Bavdhan campus and shared the same message everywhere.

Suryadatta Junior College arranged and conducted a very nice Farewell programme for the outgoing Class XII Batch of 2021-23, on 21st March 2023, Tuesday. All students of Arts, Commerce, Science, MCVC and SIVAS attended it with full josh and vigour.
This program was made possible only due to the wholehearted support and guidance of our respected Chairman Sir, Dr. Sanjay B Chordiya, Vice-President Mrs. Sushama Chordiya and Associate Vice-President Mrs. Snehal Navlakaha. They encouraged all of us to make this day memorable for our students!!
Girl students were dressed decently in beautiful sarees and boys came smartly dressed in formal wear. They reported to the College in the Central Hub at around 10.30am for the Group photographs. Pictures were clicked Stream wise, with students and faculty members, separately for Arts & MCVC, Commerce and Science. Thereafter, all the students gathered in the Bansiratna Hall, at 11.30 am, for the Cultural program prepared for them by their juniors and our enthusiastic Class XI students of all streams.
Our Class XI students took a lot of efforts in preparing Invitation cards, Selfie booths, placards & badges for Game winners, for the Farewell of their Seniors. Class XI students prepared very good Solo and Group dances for their Seniors, under the guidance of the Cultural team The students put up very impressive performances during the Farewell. Fun games were also conducted The entire hall was in peals of laughter on these fun games.
After the program, at around 1.30pm, delicious unlimited food was served to all students for lunch which comprised of Pav-Bhaji, Tava-pulav and Kulfi. Everybody relished it.
The Suryadatta Junior College team organized a Mother’s Day celebration in the College’s Bansiratna Auditorium, on 17th May 2023, Wednesday, at 11:00am.
The theme of the program was –‘Maa tujhe salaam’. All faculty members of the Junior College participated enthusiastically to put up a nice show, which included emotional poems written by the teachers, songs suiting the occasion, some on-the-spot speeches and a marathi song by students attending the program. The teachers also presented a very emotional and interesting Dance drama, depicting the various stages of a mother and daughter, in the journey of life. The audience truly enjoyed this performance.
Overall, the program was very successful in living up to the essence of celebrating motherhood!
